🟢Hello, Orbit Chain Community!🟢 We are excited to announce Orbit Bridge is now fully integrated with WalletConnect 2.0! *Excluding Hardware wallet [What is WalletConnect 2.0?] The communications protocol for web3, WalletConnect brings the ecosystem together by enabling wallets and apps to securely connect and interact. [Key Differences between WalletConnect 1.0 and WalletConnect 2.0] ▶️Chain agnosticity: WalletConnect 2.0 is chain agnostic, meaning that it can be used to connect to dApps on multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, Polygon, and Solana. WalletConnect 1.0 was only compatible with Ethereum-based dApps. ▶️Session decoupling: In WalletConnect 1.0, sessions and pairings were coupled together. This meant that if a session was terminated, the pairing would also be terminated. In WalletConnect 2.0, sessions and pairings are decoupled, so a session can be terminated without affecting the pairing. ▶️Session expiry: WalletConnect 1.0 had an indefinite session lifetime, meaning that sessions would persist until one of the clients disconnected. WalletConnect 2.0 has introduced an expiry timestamp for sessions, which is currently defaulted to 7 days. ▶️JSON-RPC tracking: WalletConnect 2.0 clients track all JSON-RPC requests sent and received with the client, can ignore duplicates, and acknowledge the messages received. WalletConnect 1.0 did not have this functionality. Our team pursues a service that is conveniently accessible to all users participating in the crypto market. We will continue to do our best so that Orbit Chain can grow into a project representing the web3 & blockchain ecosystem. Thank you.
